Your assistant access and stop check

Use ongoing assistant permissions (opens in a new tab). This check belongs to the whole job, not just its prompt.

ResponsibilitySuitable starting input/accessKeep separate
Prepare one briefSupplied fictional calendar/messagesInbox or calendar connection
Discover new approved routine messagesReading only where scope is suitableSending, deleting and forwarding
Suggest meeting timesApproved calendar readingEvent creation and invitations
Run at an agreed timeAn actual saved supported taskUnrequested recurring work

Before granting access: inspect the actual account, data scope and action rights. Choose less access when it fully supports the task. If the provider bundles unsuitable rights, use a manual source excerpt.

Before relying on it: record the task entry, timezone, source connection, next run, completion record and stop method. Check one harmless result. Closing an app or muting an alert is not proof the task stopped; inspect its saved task and any delegated/scheduled work using the product's current controls.

If it fails: preserve the exact symptom, identify a content/source/access/usage issue, choose one supported correction and verify in the source app. Do not let repeated attempts expand the approved scope.
