AI Course Series Privacy Policy

FinBeauty LLC operates the CowanWorks AI Course Series at cowanworks.com/aicourse. This policy covers the course website, accounts, purchases and support. The separate FinBeauty product and third-party AI services have their own privacy policies. Contact support@finbeauty.app for course privacy requests.

Information we handle

• Account information: name, email, authentication records and account role. Authentication is managed through Supabase. Staff do not need your password to help you.
• Purchase and access information: the course or membership selected, payment-provider identifiers, amount, currency, payment status, discounts, access grants, refund status. Stripe processes payment details; this course application does not store complete card numbers or card security codes.
• Learning preferences: the current lesson and reading position can be saved in your browser so you can return to them. Account-based learning records may also be stored when that feature is used. Browser-only positions do not transfer automatically to another device.
• Support information: messages and information you choose to send when requesting help. Please do not send passwords, full payment details, or identifiable student, employee or health records.
• Technical information: service providers process information such as IP addresses, browser/device information, request times, authentication and error logs to deliver and protect the website.

Practice prompts and worksheet answers are not submitted to an AI engine by this course site. Copying a prompt or downloading a template does not connect your email, calendar or AI account to us. If you use the material in a third-party AI service, what you share with that service is governed by its own settings and policies.

How we use it

We use information to provide lessons and resources, authenticate accounts, deliver purchased access, reconcile payments, prevent duplicate charges and fraud, handle support and privacy requests, maintain security, and meet accounting and legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information or use course records for targeted advertising. We do not automatically enroll you in marketing by granting course access.

Service providers and other disclosures

The course uses Vercel for hosting, Supabase for authentication and course data, and Stripe for payments and billing. When you email support, email providers process your message. The site's fonts are requested from Google Fonts, which receives the technical information necessary to serve those requests. These providers may process data in the United States or other countries under their own service arrangements and safeguards.

We may disclose information when required by law, to protect people and the service, or as part of a business transfer subject to applicable privacy obligations. We do not provide a school with an individual's learning or purchase details merely because the person uses a school email address.

Cookies and browser storage

Authentication and review cookies keep a signed-in session working and help protect access. Browser storage remembers reading position and display preferences. The current course does not use advertising cookies. You can clear cookies or site data in your browser; doing so may sign you out and remove saved reading positions. Blocking necessary storage can prevent sign-in or position saving, but available public lessons can still be read.

Retention and security

We retain account and learning information while needed to operate your account and provide the service. Purchase, audit and security records may need to be retained after account closure for legal, accounting, fraud-prevention or dispute purposes. Copies may remain in backups until those backups expire. We use access restrictions and encrypted connections, but no website can promise absolute security.

Your choices and requests

You may ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information, close your course account, or explain a particular use. Email support@finbeauty.app from your account address when possible. We may verify your identity before acting. Some information cannot be deleted immediately where retention is legally required or needed for unresolved transactions. We will explain an applicable limitation rather than promise deletion we cannot perform.

Depending on your location, you may have additional privacy rights or the right to complain to a relevant regulator; this policy does not limit those rights.

Adults and policy updates

The courses are intended for adults, not children, and are not designed to collect student records. If you believe a child or another person has submitted information improperly, contact us so we can investigate. We may update this policy as the service changes; the date above identifies the current version. We will provide additional notice or request consent where applicable law requires it.
